At the 2008 World Expo, an exhibition raises the alarm on the impending water crisis.
844 million people lack access to basic drinking water —that’s more than 10% of the global population.
A series of outdoor spaces explore our relationship to water, leading to a bridge designed by Zaha Hadid. Inside, a multimedia space calls attention to an impending catastrophe and the need for solutions. At the signature wall, visitors are encouraged to add their name to a petition to make access to water a universal human right.
