LENNON: The NYC Years
JOHN LENNON: The New York City Years
A temporary exhibition on the famous Beatles musician and his life and work in New York City.
Four media presentations contain performance footage, music videos, interviews, and home movies. Artifacts include hand-written lyrics, drawings, collages, clothing, and musical instruments.
The exhibit, at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame Annex, in New York City, spanned the period from September 1971 until Lennon’s tragic shooting in December 1980. It celebrated Lennon as a musician, political activist, visual artist, husband, and father, by exploring his legacy for longtime fans and introducing him to a new generation.
